In Kuyt's first season he is showing so much for me.

Bellamy needs to get used to playing for a top club ASAP!
Stats may not be your cup of tea, Bob, but these ones in particular are fairly revealing.

Crouch is our most prolific striker, 9 in 11 starts. Impressive.

He should and hopefully will start on Saturday.

He was a dreadful signing and I honestly had the impression that he was faking injury tonight to get off the pitch early because the crowd were starting to get on his back. Probably jumping to the wrong conclusion but he didn't seem to know what he'd hurt, his face or his leg.

He's done nothing for us so far but I wouldn't say a "dreadful signing" just yet.
I would honestly say that I think he's been and will continue to be a dreadful signing for the club. He offers nothing to the team, he's a passanger at best at worst he's a hinderance.

I was at the match so haven't had the chance to see his injury again and as I said I'm probably jumping to the wrong conclusion but I wasn't the only one who thought that he was faking it tonight.

I think Pennant was very good in the first half. Gave us a bit of a threat and took on his man a few times. Been a while since I have seen a Liverpool player get to the byline past three men and deliver a half decent cross. I though there were a few good signs from him tonight.

He seemed to get a couple of knocks to his leg earlier and I think he was playing throught it. He got hit in the face and I think he had just had a bit of a bettering all round - mostly bad luck rather than being doen over mind.

yep I said it at the time in the match thread.

The crowd had just got on his back for loosing the ball again, then what followed was pretty much a nothing challenge where he was clipped by the opposing players arm. He held his face as if looking for a free kick from it, then when he was being ignored, started to put his hand on his hamstring.

Now maybe it was a delayed reaction or something, but it just looked very convenient, is all I'm saying, as if he just wanted to get off the pitch.

I've just seen the highlights on SSN and I can honestly say that I have no clue why he even held his face because no part of it touched the PSV players hand or arm.

                      Indeed.

But first-season strikers are rarely brilliant. With some forsight you can understand their potential. Larsson at celtic, Crouch at Liverpool, bergy at arsenal... i could go on all night long...

Did i not say earlier tonight that Crouch on current form should be starting ahead of Bellers. If not i am now.

When Pennant got injured, lad behind said 'oh ****in hell I hope it's nothing too trivial'....

Harsh, wrong even, but you can understand where the frustration comes from. He has been ****. I think he's got enough of the right qualities to be a decent player for us but he just looks so unbelievably nervous and out of his depth all the time
