Its astonishing the players they've had, or developed if you like, over the years. If only they could've held on to some. Shearer, Bale, AOC, Mane, Walcott, Virg....

Working tomorrow so that's a nono for me. And stupidly booked tickets ages ago to a comedy night so it's going to be sneaking a peak on my phone.

Their scouting and youth coaching has been brilliant over the years.

The Bosman ruling killed the days of smaller clubs having sustained success. That is why everyone bought into the Leicester thing a few years ago.

It pretty plausible that both Southampton and West Ham would have had periods of success over the last 20 years had they not been forced to sell player after player.

I'm not saying that the Bosman ruling was a bad thing because before that a player not being able to leave if he was out of contract meant that the clubs could control the players more and more - almost to the point of slavery. However, a proper squad size and wage cap would level the playing field.

I'm all for a wage cap, across a squad not on individuals but we just know they'd find a way around it. Hopefully nothing gets introduced until after we've netted our first PL title of course

Plenty of times we also see henderson, milner, wijnaldum and even alisson gve the ball away in stupid areas that have cost us.
If its a one off then its just one of thse things, ontinually being sloppy needs a boot up the arse though.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

That's what did for Ajax as a force in Europe. That team they had in the mid 90's if they'd managed to keep the core of that team together they would have won more than the one Champions League. Sorry off on a bit of a tangent . Fab to start. Joe back in the squad. We'll smash Southampton.

You could put that team out today (apart from shearer) and it would probably get a CL place!

swap Shearer out for Mane, put in Walcott (even if he is a bit ****) in Mane's place and you could be right!!

not the worst bench with Lovren, Schneiderlin, Tadic, Pelle, Rodriguez etc
