The city result has knocked me sideways. Don't get much more of a home banker than that.

good time to be playing Spurs/United. 9th and 12 th, goal difference of 1 and 2.Originally posted by danperkins View PostOur next few league results are going to have a huge bearing aren't they.. tough fixtures back to back when we aren't playing at our best and then there's the 6 pointer vs City.
We have a bit of leeway and should just go for their throats.
The city game is interesting they came for a draw last year if the gap is still above 5 I reckon they will need to win and could play into our hands.
We dropped 12 points I think against the rest of the league last year, 5 against city, they'll need two decent results this year by the looks to stay in it.

Really? I know Wolves have had a slow start but they did really well against the top 6 last year, they've now won 3 games on the bounce, so are going to move up the table. They are a good team.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostThe city result has knocked me sideways. Don't get much more of a home banker than that.
Of course I expected city to win but it's not as big a shock as City losing to Norwich or to palace last year.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

What a weekend in the title race . Anything is possible after draining midweek CL matches. Wolves & Leicester are tough opponents most of the time but even more so when they’ve had the week to prepare & we’ve played tough midweek matches without being able to rest the core of the side.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostReally? Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

True, even more impressive from them but my comment was a generalisation of the decent teams not playing midweek being able to upset the top sides after European mid week matches. Us & Spurs got the raw end of the deal with 1 less day to prepare after Wednesday night matches.Originally posted by Assassin View PostWolves played Thursday nightMe, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
