Someone posted a long list of records we could break the other day - what struck me was the teams holding those records/runs were pretty much a mixed bag - you had the invinvibles on there, city more recently, utd, chavs etc. But it's possible we could sweep up 95% of them by the end of the season and it'll be almost impossible for any future team to displace us.
Hello mert.

Apologies in advance to all supporters of a nervous/superstitious demeanour
Assuming (
) we were to win the League this year, and going out on a limb and assuming it happens before the last day of the season - when would we get the trophy? Is it always after the last game of the season?
It just seems a shame as that would be away in Newcastle.Modifying post.

That will be epic.
I was 'daydreaming' and thinking that any parade would ultimately depend on where we get to in the CL (or FA Cup). If we were to do the unthinkable and get to the final of that (those)...........Modifying post.

I'd say if they had to plan the parade today it would be after Newcastle, however if we wrap it handy and are still in CL and/or FA cup I think they'd want it out the way the weekend we get the trophy against Chelsea.Originally posted by Buzzo View Post

Being in logistics at LFC will be a nightmare this year.
You get all the superstitious lot telling you to '**** off' - yet you've got to plan for events that could get 750k + turning up.Modifying post.

I'd say second parade for CL. Not sure about one for FA cup alone there's a marathon here on the Sunday after that so impossible, wait to the Monday? I think the national sides will be wanting the players by then.
Mate of mate works in council and does the planning for these things might ask in a few weeks.

I'm definitely coming down for whatever happens League wise (assuming etc...
), going to bring the kids, because... as we know these things are not guaranteed to happen every year.

I've been planning to come for the parade every year it's looked possible since 2008 or whatever it was.Originally posted by Buzzo View Post

This time, I don't know why - maybe because the league is a procession and it'll be well won before the end, so there's no tension - but I just don't have the urge to go this time. That could change overnight of course. The bug may yet bite.
I can't get my head around that after so many near misses, nearly moments, and 30 years of going without, this year is canter. As beautiful and glorious as that is, it seems a little emotionally anti-climatic.Oh I don't know.

Definitely, feel the same, still fun, but this is ridiculous.Originally posted by dom9 View Post
