Tottenham Hotspur vs Liverpool - Champions League Final 2019
Doing an internship in Geneva this summer and know absolutely no one here. People at work could care less about football and are off doing various hiking/mountain trips this weekend anyway as we had Thursday off for Ascension and Friday was kind of a de facto day off. I thought about going to one of the many ****ty-looking British pubs to try and watch it but felt a bit creeped out by the thought. So I'm staying in and watching the match on some random Italian sport channel. Sad
Super excited and super nervous. How are there more than two hours to go??? Horrible.
We'll watch it with you
Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom- 2 years1year 0.5 years
Almost 3am here. Not been to bed and didn’t plan on it. Been a long day and I keep looking at the time and it seems to be slowing down. 5am kick off and if we win I won’t be going to bed for a while after that. Glad it’s a Sunday tomorrow.
If we lose tonight, just watch that again and remember how lucky you are to be looking forward to next season. Hopefully Dave gets his miracle
Same.
Such empathy from someone without English as his first language. Proper gent taking time to send that - top drawer. Sometimes football is put firmly into perspective..
Aw true! Joined this forum seven years ago because everyone in my daily life apart from my relatives across the pond thought I was insane for caring so much about Liverpool. 'Twas a good decision

The part at the end where he goes "I'm Christian... so see you"
I'm not Christian but that was just so, I dunno. Humane.
In the stadium. Liverpool end already filling up nicely with loads of flags and banners. Spurs have about 3 banners (St George with THFC, and two other **** ones that just have Tottenham on them) and only about 100 fans
My guts are so dodgy. Had this for the Alaves final too.
I drank Stella all through that final and felt sober all the way. As soon as the final whistle went I was absolutely bladdered
One of my favorite memories was the half time camera (poss pre match) scanning the crowd, as soon as it got to one guy in a Liverpool top he spun round and it was lettered and numbered with 'We All 8 The Mancs". Amazing

In 2005 my two boys were 7 and 5. They watched it all, I had them well brainwashed by then! Tonight the three of us will watch it together, my eldest was away last year. Really hope that it's a good omen!
