I think Kloppster might use it as a kind of mid-season break. If we are maintaining a title challenge by the time the World Club Cup comes around, then he might play the ressies and tie in the trip with a mid season break. I think this will shape the sides we put out in the FA Cup and Carabao Cups as well. Klopp got slated for going out of both early again this season but nobody gave a shiny ****e about that on Saturday night did they!?!?!? Exactly the same as 2005 when LFC went out of the FA Cup early too.

In reality 2 extra games should be okay. It would be great to win our first 4 CL group games though - so that Klopp can rest players in the 5th and 6th games.

It wouldn't surprise me to see the premier leagues impartial super computer **** us over with the fixtures though. So we end up with midweek trips to the likes of Southampton and Newcastle followed by other away games the following weekend.

We should boycott this. Going just endorses Quatar and their appalling workers conditions. It's a massive disruption at a busy time of the season.

Send the U23s if we can't get out of it.

I could see Klopp wanting the club to bin this to be honest, although the club may see it as a potential money spinner.

Something will have to give IMO.

I kind of want us to win this because we never have before and I felt we should have won it last time.

However after the win in 2005 we weren't really in a title race, where as this time hopefull we will be and December is a difficult time, I seem to recall for this after 2005 we had to reschedule about 3 or 4 games to accomodate this.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

**** Qatar, I hope we boycott it on humanitarian grounds.

Remember Man Utd binned the FA Cup in 2000 to participate in this.

I wouldn't expect us to do similar, but with us having an extra cup competition (Carabao Cup), FA Cup in January, no winter break etc, it'll be interesting to see what we decide to do.

Supposed to be in February, but the Christmas period remains the same.

The mid season break is in February. Which just means any postponed December PL fixtures will be crowbarred in at the run in end of the season. Add CL games and possibly FA Cup too and March - May fixture list could be obscene.

Imagine if we make hard work of the FA Cup 3rd and 4th Rounds, as replays are still involved there too.

On the other hand, delay the final games and let us stay sharp on the way to number seven.

I think it more likely leads to injuries and burn out because of the rate of matches and lack of recovery time between them.
