Whatever anyone here thinks, the fixture schedule is going to be interrupted by this and we are going to be sending a squad of senior players, it looks like it is going to be 2 games regardless, so we might as well take it seriously and go for the trophy, whether it is viewed as prestigious or a micky mouse trophy by us, the players likely won't get many chances to play in this so I imagine they will want to win it too.

There's also the possibility that this will grow into an important competition one day too, so let's win it while we can. Look at Real Madrid's European Cups - everyone knows they won 13, not that they won a few of them before anyone else started taking the competition seriously.

It was December 1984. We got spanked by Flamengo 3-0 in 1981, but I don't think I saw that game. Not sure about Club World Championships before then, I don't think we competed in any.

I distinctly remember the Indy players on the pitch after the game shouting something about Las Malvinas belonging to Argentina. I'm not that into empires but I remember it being annoying!
