Curious that he's left it a little late.

Mmmm 4 hour crash course and passes first time. Suggests he's not such an inexperienced driver! Presumably the crash course was just an add on to previous lessons..

Presumably the examiner wasn't a blue.

Next day any car he wants.

Stay off the roads in the North West for the next few days.

Only seen the highlights clip of the England game but when he had the freedom to move in the free role he looked really good. Problem is two fold at the moment, we don't have that position in our side, and based on the way we play aren't likely to. He seems to have mostly played on the right of midfield for us, we have just brought in Szoboszlai who has been one of our best players this season in that role. And with the signings we have made our midfield is Lot harder to get into now. I thought when he first came in he might have been good in the Firmino role, but his finishing isn't good enough. And he doesn't really have the pace for a wide forward role. It will be interesting to see where he ends up.

When he hits 22 or so we will have a better idea as to how good or not he really is, but right now he looks a good bet to kick on.

What he really does for me is highlight how good guys like Bellingham, Gravenberch, Camavinga, Tchouameni etc actually are when you look at how more developed all were at Elliot's age and younger.

Think what all of them have over Elliot is that added physicality and size to allow their skills to be flourish more as they could go head to head with senior players in senior battles.

I often think that Elliot would suit a Maddison type role in a team just without the coming across like a prick bit. He just seems to do a lot of what Maddison has being doing for the past five or six season and moves into very similar positions on and off the ball.

Just googled Maddison to see what age he was when he became a PL regular and Maddison was 20 when he became a PL starter (36 PL games that season with 7 PL goals) and prior to that he had a 14 goal season at Championship level.

Yeah whether it’s his natural instinct or following orders I’m not sure but he was really running the show last night just as Jones used to do at this level.

It may also indicate a lack of fluidity in our system/formation
