Fair point. If he can accelerate away then do something useful with the ball, it may not matter that he would lose a 100m race to my 80 year old mum.

He is the best young talent we've had in as long as I can remember

He's only 19. Safe to say he's not at his physical peak just yet haha

Yeah, its his only weakness really. He's not painfully slow like Jones, but those little legs can only go so fast. He accelerates pretty quickly, but gets quickly caught up by the long stridersOriginally posted by Cormack74 View PostIs he as slow in the flesh as he appears on TV?
Suppose it may be his little legs.

I do like that when we play a 2-1 that he's available for the quick verticle pass to take the other teams midfield out of the game, and his control is good enough to trap it and turn. More of this please

Very impressive technically but his work rate was superb, relentless. Klopp will love that attitude.

Yeap, agree with the above sentiments, just wondering as well, the start of last season when he got injured, klopp already knew what kinda player he would be (maybe we would have seen the same elliot earlier than the one we are seeing now if not for that injury)....
he is very dynamic, works hard, technically gifted and very agile...
