Some players peak early and fade later on, doesn’t matter which level you are at any stage. Seems Harvey has a higher ceiling, but he still has to fulfil that potential, in fairness Foden has been showing that over the last year.

Jones has always been frustrating, too often runs then stops, holds the ball and passes from a stationary position and by the time he plays it the receiving player is already being challenged.

You were singing his praises a few months ago. What's changed?

I just think he’s an example of unfulfilled potential at this stage. I honestly think A loan move would help get the best out of him. We can’t give him enough game time ( unless of injuries ) based on form as there’s loads in front of him in the pecking order. It’s tough on him but he’s got to come in & play amazing to oust someone else or pick up the odd cup match which isn’t ideal for his development.
