He's looked very good when he has come on as sub, he has made an impact in most games but I'm not sure where he fits in as a starter at the moment.

Interestingly they both have a similar issue in that they can both score fantastic goals and miss sitters. Good thing that one against Wolves got deflected.Originally posted by Charly View PostPeople think Nunez is class because he can run fast, and Elliott is **** because he is not fast. I guess.
One thing Elliott did show is that he learned from the first year. He started off constantly out of position and not knowing when to track back. He's improved massively on both, he's definitely improving all the time which is great.

I may or may not have said this before, but Elliot is just class. Worth saying again.

The ankle injury he sustained would have effected his speed, especially last season.I think Elliot looks half a metre quicker this season. He’s definately more explosive, sharper and aggressive than he wasOriginally posted by Cormack74 View PostJust FYI I wasn't one of them
And I do think he's super talented (you don't play for LFC at 16 if you're not), but I also worry about his unbelievable lack of pace, so he has to be picked in the 'right' position taking into account how we're setting up and who we're playing.

You can see Elliott has put some extra effort in in the summer to start the season super fit and super focused. These are the sort of options you need from the bench and also to feck with your manager's mind. Elliott (and Nunez) is playing so well the manager can't put it down to just a super sub explanation.
Keeps our first team players on their toes too. Look at Salah's reaction since being replaced by Doak.

Tempted to start him ahead of Mac Allister for the next one to be honest. He probably deserves it.
It is almost a shame we're not playing 3 games at week yet as I think players like Elliot deserve a start.

I was just coming on to mention he’s had a good little start the season making an impact off the bench.

Didn't realise how good Elliot's pass was for the 2nd goal last week. This angle isn't great as it doesn't show you the whole picture, but excellent technique again from him. And as the caption says, same trio for both goals too.
Really looking forward to seeing how he gets on this year.

those germans must be seriously slow if Elliott is steaming through midfield
