Napoli are a difficult side to play. They were defensively very good today. Didn't give us much. We need to play better away from home in Europe and not make stupid mistakes with our passing. Even the games vs Salzbourg away won't be a walk in the park. Early days.

Yeah there were 3-4 passes there that you could pick out and say we should have done better. Not quite at the races but not poor either. Napoli just played a very good game.

Felix Brych has been told by FIFA that he will not be used again at this World Cup after having made just one appearance at the tournament, the Group E match between Serbia and Switzerland.

Serbia lodged a complaint with football's world governing body FIFA after they felt they should have been awarded a penalty in their 2-1 defeat in Kaliningrad.

Brych waved play on after Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic appeared to have been wrestled to the ground by both Stephan Lichtsteiner and Fabian Schär. The Munich native stood by his on-field decision and controversially opted not to make use of the video assistant review system.

I think we looked really tired today - the touch from all front three was poor, the ball was bouncing all over the place, mi**** passes, bad decisions.

Just a bad day at the office but I'm not bothered, we know we don't dwell on bad performances or incidents and I fully expect us to beat Chelsea (who also lost today) this weekend.

God, I forgot how frustrating it is when we lose.. think we played ok overall but the front 3 definitely did look sluggish. I think a draw woulda been a fair enough result- the penalty was a stupid call (given that var is available) and the second goal wouldn’t happen if it was 0-0. Just hope we’re angry and bounce back on Sunday. Chelsea game was always all I really cared about this week!

Come on, we've got 5 days before the next game. Mane and Salah had a long rest during the international break. Fabinho and Firmino will be rested in due time. They aren't gonna play every game.
