We were ****e yesterday and still came out of Old Trafford with a point.

What is the ****ing point of VAR though? Why aren't the refs getting to check the monitor like they did in the world cup to clarify they are happy with their decision. It's a nonsense.

      it is bull**** alright.

This "clear and obvious error" rule is a load of crap too. Essentially the fella watching the video decided that his refereeing colleague didn't make a clear and obvious error!!! Guess what, human nature will try to find a way to dig out the **** up made.

For me though, this was clear and it was obvious.

Lindelof tackled from behind - foul.
      Lindelof kicked Origi - foul.
Lindelof did not make any contact with the ball - foul.

Can't be more clear and ****in obvious than that.

I actually think over a season, VAR will help us as a team more than others. We play at such pace and the fact that we attack more than most teams will help us too. Also, we are actually a very clean team. And I think the fact that they have started the season like this, they need to see the season through like this. The competition should be consistent for the whole season.

However, in the summer they need to ****in sort it out. It shouldn't be "clear and obvious" it should be "was there a foul or not". If the video man can't decide, then it should be the ref on the pitch that gets to look at it again. And also, they need to mike the cunts up. This would add to the spectacle and also we'd get to hear the rationale for some of their decisions. If they are worried about the knacker players bad language, then just fine them every time they do it.

The FA/Premier League need to pay to put a big screen in every stadium. They can easily afford it and its needed.

Watching the Wales v France rugby yesterday morning and I am so ****ing jealous of how they officiate the game and how they use video technology.

Even things like stopping the clock for certain situations, this would stop refs pulling random amounts of time out of their arse to be added on at the end of a half.

It is actually worse than just human error. It is making the Refs infallible if blatantly incorrect decisions are allowed to stand.

VAR was introduced to reduce the number of key mistakes in a game, instead, it is compounding them.

Refs are making mistakes all over the pitch week in week out, they are human after all. Unless we use the technology in an appropriate manner and allow them to see the mistake for themselves it is pointless. The FA and Premier League are to blame for this implementation of the system, it could be so much more than an offside & handball tool.

Getting them to admit that and make a change though.....

Manc Atkinson can just say he saw it and then ignore VAR, its bollocks.
Need VAR to be abe to over rule any mistakes.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

The problem is that this stupid clear and obvious thing is making it too messy. In this instance because Atkinson made the decision on the field VAR wont overturn his decision unless someone has literally been stabbed or something.

What should be happening is the ****ing ref should be made to check the ****ing video himself and then he can overturn his own decision.

I think he would have overturned that himself if he watched the video because he would look like a cunt seeing that he kicked his calf (and from behind which your not allowed to tackle from). As it stands he can wash his hands of it coz he didnt have the advantage of seeing the video.

There are only 2 things VAR is doing correctly and they are the 2 things that are not open to interpretation - hand ball and offside. The rest is pointless

I was sat in the North West Quadrant for the game. Obviously had to keep quiet all the time. Some numpty couldn't help himself when Mane's disallowed goal went in. He was removed pretty quickly - but it didn't kick off.

The atmosphere was ok, nowt special and from my seat in the gods I couldn't even see our fans.

Special mention for the referee, as he didn't give us anything during the game. Was ridiculous.

How can this be ignored? Surely the club needs to file a complaint or something? I mean 6 fouls for a whole game, United - Liverpool is just laughable.

50 minutes of perfect tackles. United really are back.

The stats on Martin Atkinson’s penalty decisions (in terms of not giving for and giving against) involving Liverpool vs his average for the rest of the league is damning too. Off the charts skewed.

I’ll post them again if I can find them.

Love the way they are so **** now they are trying to say they were great in a game where they had 2 shots on target and managed a draw at home.

Absolute shower of ****! Welcome to being us in the 90's!

The bloke absolutely loathes us. Was hoping the manager would kick off enough yesterday so he’s kept away from our games this season. City aren’t the biggest threat to us, that horrible cunt is. He was a disgrace yesterday, he was a disgrace v Leicester and wasn’t much better at home to Spurs or City last season where Kane just had to fall to get a free kick (then they scored from a rolling ball) and Fernandinho assaulted our players at will and also hacked in the build up to their penalty. Also him who let Aguero handball it in to the goal for City v Arsenal days after our Leicester game, not suspicious at all.

Yeah, putting the result aside, weird how Ole is being lauded as a tactical genius after this, but I'm OK with it, hopefully this buys him some more time, one or two seasons maybe.
