Sorry I don't know - we signed up for the TV package to get the football (well, by we I mean me, my wife couldn't care less) and so had to provide one

I think you do have to provide a local address as part of the mobile package, and I think you have to be in the country as well (or at least have a VPN with an Australian location)

I'm in Singapore now, so don't know for sure

Definitely need to be in Australia. While overseas I couldnt access my optus account. VPN should fix it. And you most likely need a bank account or credit card to be able to get optus sports too. Local ofcourse.

Depends on the VPN’s provider and their servers and if the content provider has block the vpn’s servers or not. I used ExpressVPN and it doesn’t work for SingTel(Singapore) subscription, they know the servers. Same with Netflix, not all ExpressVPN UK or US servers works as Netflix has block some and eventually will find others and block them.
