Liverpool vs Man City - Premier League (19/20 - Game 12)
Why would banning a player for an assault which the player involved in has admitted on his personal social media stemmed from a Premier League game be silly? Asking for a friend.
Edit: Note than Harvey Elliott was banned for posting a video as a young teen mocking a Premier League player.
I know you're obviously on a wind up but I'll humour you.
Because that would be ridiculous?
Because he wan't playing for City at the time - it's an England matter?
Because he has been banned by England for one game (which seems like a punishment to me, albeit a harsh one imo)?
Because he hasn't broken any rules (except potentially the nebulous disrepute rule, which is er... nebulous at best)?
Must say I welled up a bit watching Trent, Gomez and Hendo hugging Sean Cox.
Same.
Nice that they went a bit further and appreciate what he has been through. We have to be the most tactile club in football. Absolutely fantastic how the club has opened the doors to his family.

Me three, especially with Joe. Heartbreaking stuff.
I don't see what the problem with the punishment is, its only one game. Southgates an ex pro and been in and around the game since he was a kid, I'm sure he knows more about how to handle the situation than any one of us. If this had happened on the training pitch after a tough challenge, he may have taken a different stance, but this apparently happened in the canteen! Ridiculous behaviour from a grown man and he's had his wrist slapped by a boss sending out a clear message that you leave this **** on the pitch.
Attitude problem. Probably will end up on the wrong side of a beating one night if he starts it with the wrong person.
Indulged for far too long on the playing field IMO....constantly whinging at refs and other players. Still can't believe he wasnt booked the other day for his dissent, let alone leaving one on VVD.
So based on all of this. To make things fair in the future we need to let the City coach have a free run into the Anfield then we need all the supporters to sit on their hands during the game. Making as little noise as possible.
What else do they want? Maybe we could field our under 14's against them and give them a 3 goal start
I think the abuse Sterling gets is disproportionate to how well he did in his time here. Owen and Torres had far longer and more productive careers, Sterling had barely got started. The booing of Torres was in part disappointment that he had gone whereas with Sterling it's because he's disliked
