I remember reading something from Elisha regarding Kewell's continuing injury struggles. Sounds like if he were a horse, he'd have been put down by now.

My view on Gonzalez is that I wouldn't expect too much from him this season. If he does turn on the form, then great. However, he'll probably need a good 6-12 months to get used to the pace and aggression of the EPL.

Not having this on these boards. You fail to respond to a multitude of reasonable and intelligent posts but instead attempt to pick a fight with all and sundry, Those are the first posts I have edited here, I did it with a great deal of consideration, and I would love them to be the last of your I ever have to.

If it wasn't a crazy time of night I'd move you to the sin-bin so we could discuss this further with you Ryan. Instead I will pm you to further explain my rationale. I would appreciate it if everyone else could not respond to his posts in kind

                  Dry your eyes Michael.

Is it forbidden to buck the trend on this site?

I haven't been impressed with Gonzalez, and I was under the impression that this was a forum, i.e. open to debate.

                  PM me all you want.

It is completely, which is why your first couple of posts in this thread, though possibly a tiny bit provocative, are left open for debate. I'm actually interested to hear your reasoned arguments about Gonzales, everyone's been raving and I haven't seen a lot so if you've got another view I'd love to hear it properly stated. Controversial is fine. Abusing your fellow lfc fans and **** stirring is not. Period

The 2 posts I've dealt with above had nothing to do with debating the issue you posted about initially and you know it

Alright then, apologies, given that several members of your site were permitted to discuss my "operating brain cells" I thought it was deemed fine to retort, sans inflammatory language.

You've gone over the top, and you know you have.

The apology(ish) is appreciated. I've sent you a pm, feel free to respond.

If you look to the top of this thread your response to Robmccreary's reasonable question was unnecessary and provocatory, and someone fell for it. Considering the vast majority of replies to this thread thereafter have been very restrained and reasonable, it is interesting which ones you chose to respond to, and how. You know precisely what you were doing, taking it way up a level, and I believed a stop had to be put to it right now. You'll notice I left the one of your 3 posts that had anything at all to do with the thread well alone.

If you wish to now post your sensible arguments about why Gonzales is over-rated then, as I said, I would love to hear them, and i'm sure others would too.

Mr M (and other mods to boot_ your doing a great job so far). sucky, sucky long time

Ryan - I have no problem calling a spade a spade (see my non-PC posts on Muslims in KT... er i mean my criticisms of Crouch) though I watched Gonzales closely in Spain(in the knowledge he was ours) and I thought he would be a great addition to our sqaud. I love the way he's tugs the line (like Guily) and i hope Rafa will deploy him similarly.

I understand your reservations about other Spanish flops though can i add that the la liga is one of the most technical leagues in the game and its certainly not inferior to ours!

While I agree with some other reasoned posters on this thread about the fact that HK will start LW I also think Rafa rates this guy highly enough to be a regular this season, and sooner rather than later!!

Oh and the bigger fan comment - tee hee

Some words of advice by the Bird. Let Koptalk have Ryan....they deserve each other

I thought you would of stayed on KT to be honest Ryan, DJ isnt here to save you.

I find it hilarious that you have judged Gonzalez on 2 halves of football for us. 1. He is still finding his feet
                            2. The team is being chopped and changed alot, which doesnt add any stability...therefore making it harder to settle into a game pattern.
                            3. These are FRIENDLIES...they mean nothing, new players are tried out, youngsters are given a chance to play. Who cares if we lose, the aim is to gain fitness and to try new things out.

If he has played this way for the majority of the season then yeah, by all means he deserves to be scutinised...but just leave it out for now.

Oh and in regards to Vlad, he was rarely played in his proper position, when he was he looked quite a good player. Ged just didnt have the balls to go with an attacking formation 90% of the time.
"When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

Wouldn't it be absolutely spiffing if we could give our new signings a couple of competitive games and a decent length of time to settle before we start damming them.

Good example... Sissoko... looked fairly average at the start of last season (poor control, substandard passing, gave away too many fouls)... finished the season as an integral component of opur central midfield.

I don't care how these lads played in other Leagues.. and pre-season friendlies are a very inadequate determinator of future impact or ability (a

It's a bit like saying Bellamy's going to score 25+ League goals this season, having scored 2 in 3 matches.
