I watched extended highlights again last night. Jesus that ref was really terrible alright.

      You mean like Minamino?

We needed a Keita or even a Minamino to break their lines. Ox sort of tried that

It was the perfect game for Coutinho...

I thought of Keita during the game. Would've been ideal, but we all predicted the midfield before the game.

Given Hendo's tight hammy, I imagine Fab will start alongside Gini/Ox/Naby/Millie/Lallana in the next few games. But come the second leg, I would play Hendo (fit and refreshed hopefully) as the 6 and unleash Naby and Ox on Atleti.

I expected this to be our toughest challenge of the season really, we've often found it tough to play against dirty defensive teams and Atletico are possibly the best at it in Europe. The second leg is gonna be a totally different thing to Barca last year, more pressure on us and Atletico surely won't be lenient in any way. I really hope players are as fired for this as they seemed to be after the game, the fans definitely will be and if the ref doesn't **** his pants at the occasion we should still go through.

It really sucks to lose now doesn't it us not winning has become some distant thing and I'm just not used to it when it happens. I've kinda just come to expect us winning the CL as well if we don't, the league will be a nice consolation

The atmosphere at Anfield in 3 weeks will be ferocious... and as much as they say they'll be ready for anything, they won't. If we can start fast and get an early goal, I think they'll crumble and/or just start kicking lumps out of everyone... either way, they'll lose their heads. I can see Costa seeing red for dirty play if they go behind early... they're just too much of a hot-headed team not to react emotionally and over the top about everything... Ref will be everything in the return leg. If he bottles it, we'll struggle.

                    Same & aye.
                    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I'm not like 'meh' but if we go out it'll all be really quickly forgotten as we've an even bigger prize on the near horizon. I think we're pretty relaxed about the CL and that too will help us

I get what you’re saying, we won it last year, and the PL is what we’ve all wanted for so long... but, for the first time in my lifetime, LFC are easily the best team in the world at the moment- so I think it would be a real shame if we go out so soon.
                        I don't tip

I always feel negative about games like this, especially when the opponent is a good team like Madrid so they will be difficult to breakdown but hopefully all the early comments from their side will ensue a difficult game for them. The atmosphere will be savage for sure. Love nights like that.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

100% plus if we go out I don't want it to be to a bunch of cunts.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I think we could win it as we're the best team in Europe but it won't haunt me. What's annoying though is that Atletico won't win in and will no doubt go out at an whimper in the next round if they were to progress
