If we were in the CL still, think Klopp would manage these last few games differently. We won the league in record time- I imagine that we’d be seeing a lot more of the likes of Elliott, Jones, neco, etc etc right now, and the main men would be getting enough rest before those 3 CL games which would pretty much be the start of next season...

Anyway, lots of IFs and BUTs, lets just win it next year again...
It's not about the amount of extra games, it's about having that time instead to concentrate on getting the squad into condition so we don't have burn out or fitness related injuries next season.

A proper pre season sets you up for the months ahead. You don't get that from the match/recover/train/match schedule, even if you're rotating.

Anyway, we are where we are. We won't get 7 this year, but I do think we'll be in a better position to compete in all competitions next season as a result. That's all.

Aye, if we were offered number 7, with the condition it would hamper us next year, we'd jump at it. We could easily get beat in the final though and/or pick up a few more serious injuries along the way, so could be a blessing in disguise as previously mentioned.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Are we still pretending no one is going to turn up? Stay at home the pub isn't going to work

It's definitely gonna go off, and really why shouldn't it. Practically everywhere is open, we've seen thronged streets and bars and pubs and beer gardens, so why the **** should football fans be kept apart still? The horse has long since bolted. **** it.

It would be better if they just accepted it and put some temporary toilets in the city centre and by the ground. Have some stewards to stop anything spilling over.

Pretending nothing is going to happen is a ridiculous move.

Agree lads. I'm not particularly happy about it, but it is inevitable. What's also inevitable is the media will be waiting to vilify us again.

I think it's more about mitigating the situation now, rather than pretending nothing is going to happen.

I already feel like most people are just carrying on as normal now, with the odd selective social distancing done at the shops etc (when they can be arsed bringing a mask). The government has eroded everyone's staying power by constantly reducing the restrictions. For me the blame still lies firmly with them.

Of course, they’ve basically washed their hands of it & put it into the “great British common sense” to resolve.
                              3rd place. Worst champions ever.
