But Klopp was pretty much going to go after which ever set of questions were asked.
He never gives Shreeves an inch at the best of times. Klopp definitely talks differently depending on who he speaks and how he thinks they'll use it.

Think the game was a lot closer than the result showed and if we took some of the chances at 0-0 it could have been completely different. But it’s affectively a preseason game, so who gives a ****!

I disagree, City played great football today and I think the result fully reflected how well they played.

We got away with it at least twice in the opening minutes when Jesus stepped forward a fraction of a second too early. VVD had no idea where he was and Robertson/Fabinho was no where to be seen.

I'm not worried about it and I'm not going to get upset over it but credit where it's due, City dismantled our defense today and our attackers all had awful games.

Sterling was on fire, Jesus was sharp and Foden looks ready to play first team football regularly.

Despite starting well, we fell apart in midfield and at the back and could easily have shipped 6. That was a proper spanking

Hopefully this is a good reminder that City will be at us next season like rabid dogs

Important that we go again against Villa on Sunday and get a proper reaction out of the boys.

I think I heard one of the commentators mention early in the game that we haven't scored away from home, across all comps, for the last 6 or 7 hours???? Would cover part of City, Watford, Everton, Chelsea in the FA cup, Atletico so I guess that makes sense...crazy stat though

I thought that the first 20 mins or so was fairly even, and we could have gone a goal or two up. City didn't have many more chances than us but they were much more clinical in front of goal, we also helped the out hugely by making stupid defensive decisions, committing ourselves and letting them get men over. The mistakes from Gomez for the pen and Robertson for the 3rd were the school boy errors that we just normally don't make.

Hopefully this shows us that we can't take it easy and we up our game for the rest of the season and are aware of the danger City pose for next season. Let's hope we get a reaction against Villa at the weekend.

That guard of honour was just pure disrespect. My God I hate that club and hope there ban is upheld and we pump the league again next year

Had a couple of Utd heads have a pop this morning about feeling the pressure blah blah blah. I was like WTF - unless they changed the rules and a team gets bonus points for scoring 4 or more like in Rugby we are still still Champions, still 20 points clear of City and have still just won the league with the most amount of games to spare. Given that having a bad day against the the biggest team in Manchester isnt anything to worry about.

Horrid club, can only imagine the **** we'd be getting if the roles were reversed on that, though Klopp wouldn't allow that as he has too much class.

Did anyone else find the Sky Kevin de Bruyne wankfest well over the top, yes he's a very good player I get that. They essentially spent 90 mins more or less suggesting he was the best player to ever walk onto a football pitch. And turned everything into something about him, if the Ox goal was an OG then that would be another assist taken away from him, how he had already had some assists taken away from him etc etc

I'm not saying that he isn't a top player but to go on about it for 90 mins was tedious as ****.

I think with De Bruyne, he did make some incredible passes, and it was the way he found the spaces. Sure, they were a bit OTT, but he was very good last night.

It was excellent to see. Klopp was not happy and he let it show. Thats fine. Exactly the sort of reaction I wanted to see. Watch the BBC interviews which were most likely a bit later where he makes the same points but with more control. He's a passionate guy. Shreeves was driving at a point but not making it.

If he was all, 'you know what, **** it, who won the League' that's when you worry.

It's like how you find numerous different ways to express yourself with a pithy, dismissive one liner and take private delight in going against the flow thats fine also

That was City’s grand final right there. They’ve lost 8 matches this season but we’re totally up for this one while we weren’t quite there today.

Saying that if we had taken our earlier chances & Gomez actually tried to defend rather than get into a physical battle with Sterling who knows?

Klopp pointed out (and Carra) that although Gomez was poor in that moment our set up from the throw was bad, there was nobody in front of Sterling.

It was just a bad day at the office, but better to lose to them when we are 20 points clear than when the result of the game actually means something.
