Yeah, Curtis was playing well. We were stretched but doing ok. The midfield instantly looked weak (against City) after those subs.

We could really do with Keita getting back to fitness. We must play at least one of the new CBs and return Hendo to midfield. Also, see if Ox can rediscover his 2019 form (or whenever it was) even last season. He needs more than 20 mins tho. Even last season he was a goal threat.

We just seem to be going into games with variations of the same in effective midfield. And Gini... he can have some storm era, but where is his head right now?

We are putting out too many fires.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

huge 6 point swing in the space of 3 minutes. Probably puts us behind United, Chelsea, Leicester for top 4.

We're going to end up around 9th.

Concentrate on the CL. With a bit of luck, you never know.

Don't think we've the fight for top 4.

Massive question marks over this squad, and group as a whole TBH.

We will surely get our arses handed to us mid week - squad decimated and we need to roll the same lads out again who are mentally and physically done. I think we will finish 6th or 7th but as long as the Ev don’t beat us next week then I can accept the rest

From a financial point of view, as well as trying to sign players and keep the ones we have top 4 is surely the goal. Get this season over and done without doing too much damage long term.

I feel so sorry for Klopp and the players and as great as FSG have been I worry massively about missing out on top 4 because they will not invest anything outside of what we earn. The next few seasons are in the balance with how we finish here

Can't be fussed if we miss to be honest. If Klopp is still around, we'll have the same team around and without us playing CL could be a blessing in disguise as we'll have a free shot at the league, especially after this season.

Not saying it won't be great to qualify for it, but after all that has happened this season, I'd be happy to relax and watch us play 1 game a week and trounce the league.
                        Are we winning?

Worry is that some of the players might leave if we don't make top 4 and if they do getting quality replacements will be difficult

Seems inevitable, whether because they want out, or because we can't afford to keep them on their wages.

We need Scum style decisions to get top 4 and are getting the complete opposite. Funny how when they’re distinctly average they get a helping hand, but when we need it we just get a kick in the nads.
                              3rd place. Worst champions ever.

IF Klopp stays in such circumstances (I have my doubts) and IF we have the same team (also doubt) and IF we don't have Europa League then we'll have finished mid table, we'll walk the league from there? Seems like nothing but wishful thinking.

More likely is we lose players we want to keep and try and rebuild on a sell to buy budget, with difficulty attracting replacements. Nobody can afford a disastrous season and expect to stay at the top. I'd even say it's more likely we'd be doing that under a new manager. If we finish mid table this season, we're more likely to be back to where we were before Klopp came in than to a title win.
