The woman that runs my lads footballs name is spelt Niamh. After months of me going for Neeahm my wife pointed out it is pronounced Neeve.

Don’t get me started with my first run in with a Siobhan.

There was a woman I worked with who called her kid Saoirse (pronounced Sirshi) - she had no connection to Ireland/Gaelic language, they just really liked the name.

A little bit more original than Bruce, Nathan or Lance I guess

Gaelic pronunciation is a bit mad all right

When Rhys Williams excitedly logs on Est to see he's got his own thread he's going to be gutted when he sees it's just full of all this Irish name ****!

Think it is pronounced Sir-sha - just to further confuse you

                                It means "freedom"
