I’ve said that it was silly to say it was a disaster. Never said it was a great result. We’re still top, might not be after this weekend but it’s not we’re off the pace and trailing by 10 points.

Performance was fine, whatever way you want to put it. Not great but I think we did enough to win it. The concern is the amount of injuries and the games coming thick and fast.

Don’t think anyone can argue any team would be struggling with the players we’ve got out at the moment and the inability to rotate properly. All of this into consideration I’m not sure why people are moaning at the perf. Plus we’ve not been very lucky with decisions.
    Are we winning?

If as we raised the trophy at the end of last season, someone had told me we’d be starting a game away at Brighton in November with Nat Phillips and Fabinho as our starting centre back pairing. I’d be certainly wondering what the **** had happened.

That was a banker, and in what will likely continue to be a close title race, could be disastrous.

Chelsea winning away at West Brom was also a banker right? Come on man, it’s not rational.

It's a straw man though because I didn't claim "it was a disaster".

I also disagree that the performance was fine, even ignoring the late pen, relying on them missing a penalty and a sitter not to match the one goal that we scored does not equal a fine performance.

We won a few of this kind of games by playing worse than that last year. It’s not a normal season and i don’t expect us to reach levels that we’ve reached before especially with a patched up team.

It's not rational if your target is to be 'there or there aboits'. But it can't be as champions by 18 points, with last years challengers have a rough start, throwing points away against Brighton take us down to 2nd or 3rd in the table, as opposed to building a lead, is not fine, and could be disastrous in the long run.

Think some people are still in the mindset that we should be happy being around the top four, rather then looking to build on our success. We don't have to be better than last year, but we do need to be better than the other teams in the division. Yes, there's a long way to go, but to deny that effectivey wasting 2 points now is no big deal is wrong imo, it's going to be a tighter race.

VAR seems dead set against us doing that TBF.
                3rd place. Worst champions ever.

It could be worse and we could be 10 points off Chelsea or Spurs. They play each other tomorrow and one of them or both will lose points. It’s going to be tighter but teams will lose points when you don’t expect to this season. We need to get through that horrendous period of injuries and then I’m sure we’ll be stronger.

Indeed it could be worse, of that we agree.

Klopp needs to stop venting in post match interviews though. Anything he says can be framed as bitter or dismissed as anger. He can give an interview to anyone, any time and it will get coverage and be far more effective at getting his points across.

Yeah that was a **** game. But I’m not ruling us out. It’s going to be tight. It’s going to be nerve wracking. But I reckon we will be on with a strong shout.

The fact that we are up and amongst it when the side has been devastated by injury is impressive.

You can’t ignore the injury list, or play it down. You are talking about 6 or 7 starters out at a time with 2-3 strong deputies. Once we get a few back it will make a huge difference.

Losing Milner is a nightmare. He is a brilliant deputy RB and Williams looks a long way off.

We won it last year. We will be strong nest season. This season is going to be a battle. But we are up for that right?

Kind of. Still in a tantrum tho.

In other news / less infuriating sports, you should be really proud of Tom Stoltman

Agree that Klopp maybe, should stop answering things about fixture schedule now. It’s getting tiring and might play on the players minds unconsciously.

                              I'm with you Buzzo.

I'm as pissed off as anyone with today's result, but surely the extenuating circumstances are there for everyone to see.

We've been robbed of two points today, and also at Everton. Fine margins and three quarters of the season to play for. There will be many more points dropped. By everyone.
                              Oh I don't know.
