Probably more relevant; if you had been offered 1 point from Brighton, would you have taken it?Originally posted by BigChief View PostIf you offered me 4 points from Leicester and Brighton I would have snapped your hands off given our injuries. A draw between Spurs and Chelsea will see us right. Heck any result in that game is a decent result for us.

He's just had an argument about it live on TV, and the consensus seems to be that he lost.Originally posted by dom9 View PostI disagree. Let him vent. The broadcasters are part of the problem. They need to admit it, rather than telling everyone to stop complaining.

It's not that he's not making valid points, it's that they don't get through when done in a post match interview, especially when we haven't done well.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

You're quoting a BT employee to claim a consensus.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostHe's just had an argument about it live on TV, and the consensus seems to be that he lost.

Linekar was tweeting the same last week, so his position is clear. He's entitled to his unimpartial opinion.Oh I don't know.

When Ferguson used to snarl at them they all shat themselves and kowtowed to him. Is it really Des ****ing Kelly's place to argue with Klopp and provoke him like that?
Just despondent after today. You can't celebrate goals any more until you wait for the lines on a screen to come out or whatever, by which point the moment has gone, and if you can't celebrate goals then what the **** is the point of this sport? I'm totally despondent about it and wish I could flick a switch and give it up, but I can't.

Feel exactly the same mate, 49 years old sitting here shaking my head cos you just can not get invested in the game anymore.
Var is killing the game as a spectacle.

Firstly the match, having calmed down, I still feel the pen was a nonsense. I can just about take the disallowed goals; Mane's you could see, the first one is a VAR special and very frustrating. My views on tight offside VAR decisions is well documented on here, but it's something that you just have to accept. But that penalty was a joke, our players get hacked down or called divers, and we concede on for that
In the wider context a point is probably a decent result given we have our 3 first choice CB's out, first choice RB out, lost our 2nd best RB option to injury in the game, our CB's were a CM playing out of position just back from injury, partnered by someone we would have sold in the summer if we could have found any takers. Add to that Captain not fit to start, Thiago, Ox and Naby out, probably say a point is a good result. We really need the forwards to step up and get us two or three a game as with our defensive and midfield problems we can't expect to keep a clean sheet and probably need at least 2 goals to win.
The Klopp scheduling and injury issues are spot on regardless of what anyone says. Look at the number of injuries that are being picked up, the schedule is madness. I can't blame the TV companies for picking our games but in this unique situation this season there could have been some flexibility in the schedule on the part of the league. Again the other clubs opposing the 5 subs are doing things in their own interests, sides like Brighton aren't really affected, as they aren't in Europe so are still just playing 1 game a week. The game today is a perfect example of it they got a point indirectly as a result, our injuries and tiredness contributed massively to the result, why would they or other clubs like them want to make it easier for us. I feel that the players union should be taking this up as it is a player welfare issue but as usual they are doing **** all.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Of course it's relevant. 100%. He has a vested interested.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostWhich is irrelevant, because he did say it, will say it again tonight and the take away for most people is that Klopp was misdirecting a rant against the media. It does nobody any favours because it's the wrong forum imo.Oh I don't know.
