Everything is massively disappointing this year, and it probably is because of the contrast with what we've had before. They look ****ed, mentally and physically - that squad has had everything wrung out of it for coming up to four years - it might be that this cycle is over and a new approach is needed.

Not sure Thiago was the right choice though, he is 29 and though he looks imperious when his head is up and he isn't under pressure, we aren't getting that this season. I wonder if there was a £30m central defence option available in the summer window, I think we'd have been better off.

Thiago is a big upgrade for us... the problem is having Fabinho as CB and not having him and Hendo alongside Thiago. He is so influential with some space to move the ball... he was having to be a workhorse in games this season with both CDMs as CB.. it just doesn’t work. It kills our creative pressing from midfield.

i agree with that & TBH the management gambled & failed, both pre season & now not bringing in Centre half's.

Review, reset & rejuvenate must be the focus until the start of next season
