Think I might start Shaqiri as well, but have him drifting right in the same role that he often plays in for the Swiss national team and would have Salah in the team over Mane if it was a case of one or the other.


TBH if Davies was able to start I would have him and Phillips at the back and push Fabinho into the centre.

I think you might be close to the mark tbh, but if that is who lines out, then will be hoping that it works and kickstarts us a bit.

Bit of a cliche, but aches and pains, be they mental or physical, tend not to feel quite as bad when you are winning and we badly need to get a run going both for league position and for getting that refuse to be beaten mentality back for the CL.

I don’t think that’s how he necessarily sees it. Chopping and changing in a team already struggling could exacerbate the problems in theory but he’s not on his own making these decisions l, so what do we know?

I expect at least 3 changes today. Not sure he’ll rest Robbo though. Tsimikas has hardly played a game this season.
