Football game being cancelled. What’s worst to happen than no end product on the pitch?

Their protest was effective as the point was to disrupt. Whether their message is clear or not, we’ll have to wait and see but the fear now this could happen again.

I’d say fair play to them, it’s the first time a game of football has been postponed due to fans protest, and the biggest game in English football at that.
    Are we winning?

I’ll admit to a slight bias but shouldn’t we be awarded a 0-3 win?

I have to say I am somewhat surprised by some of the reaction in here to this.

Despite the rivalry I can understand the fans dislike of the Glazers, they are doing a similar thing to Man Utd to what H&G did to use although the effects are nowhere near as devastating. They are still able to to make huge net spends every year, I agree with Souness if they were going for the title or CL and had been challenging for the title for the the last few years this wouldn't have happened, super league or no super league. The 'green and gold until the club is sold' campaign has been 'going' for 10+years but you hardly see or hear anything about, so aside from a fairly small minority it seems that few of them really give a ****.

The suggestion that this was one or two fans is as laughable as Neville's defence that 'they didn't storm in they just walked in' There were hundreds of them and their intent was to cancel or at least delay the match, otherwise what was their purpose in going inside the ground whether they just walked in or what. OK not all of them were involved in the violence or criminal damage, but everyone who went in the the ground was in the wrong. If they want to protest there are other ways to do it.

People have made comparisons to the nob head LFC fans who have attacked buses, the club has been fined for those incidents. Those were a few dick heads throwing things who I am not going to defend one bit regardless of them being LFC 'fans'. The was a premeditated attempt to delay or cancel the game aside from the violence or anything else (which are legal matters to be dealt with on an individual basis), but I do feel that Man Utd should be penalised for their actions, clubs are fined for pitch invasions and so on this was much more extreme than that.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Liverpool were in full agreement with postponing because of security concerns (not just in the stadium, but outside OT and the team hotels).

It’s not like we still wanted to play but Utd failed to fulfil the fixture.

Here's the 'one or two individuals just walking in' according to Sky earlier

But I'm not watching it. It's a meaningless game that has a high probability of putting me in a bad mood.

I've got better things to do with time and my mood (not sure what yet but I'll find something more important to do).

I was making the most of the last of the sunshine by enjoying an unearned beer and listening to some nice Choons in the garden.

After I finished my can, I crushed it with my foot to flatten it ready for the recycling bin.

We have these "decorative" pebbly stones down the side of the house by the back door. I chucked the empty can on stones, stepped, and.... SHRIEKED! ****s sake. A massive, brown rusty nail embedded through the sole of my shoe, and indeed a minimum of a centimetre into my foot.

My wife had had to extract it from my foot, with the thing still in my shoe. Took the shoe off and the nail was an inch in to the inside.

And all this at the exact moment my neighbour was popping over for an impromptu al fresco beer.
                            Oh I don't know.

We should've done this for every game since Virgil's injury.
