Class PL winning combo. The biggest criticism of Gomez is his inability to stay injury free. Everything else he is 7/10 or above.

Maybe Slot knows the best we can get out of Gomez is 10 full games in a season. In which case no point risking him with pointless sub ons.

Gomez has been great when he’s played CB so far this season. Plus the CB’s aren’t as exposed in this system and don’t have work and cover as much as they used to.

Yeah... big gap between him and Gomez and more between Quansah.

Shows what we miss when he is not fit. And being that VVD is nearly 34, we really do need to bring in another top class CB, as Gomez just isnt good enough to cover and expect it to be as tight when Konate gets injured (as he does).

Jo is a Jack of all trades but master of none. I prefer him in the fullback roles TBH. Not an attacking FB like Trent just a straight up defender.

Konate is a beast & great foil for Virgil, the concern is his injuries. One thing is for sure & that is covering behind Trent constantly & having to do that extra leg work, will not do him any favors physically.
