It’s really strange. He just seems to have dropped his concentration, intensity and decision making levels about 5%. But he is costing us goals.

If Gomez was fitter or Leoni not just through the door I think Konate would get dropped.

If it’s about his contract then probably worth getting rid of his head isn’t in it.

Could well be a contract thing but could just as easily be a Jota thing for him and others in the squad.

Think it might be reasonable to expect a mix of performances from our squad for a while. Some may be up and running straight away mentally, some might be physically fit but just a step behind in their grieving process.

Personally I would be inclined to give the entire squad the benefit of the doubt when it comes to some sub par performances early on in the season and if any need to be pulled from the starting line up that is on Slot to act upon.

I mentioned this in the match thread but the inconsistency is the reason I don't see him as a top top CB, one his day he is one of the best CBs in the world, the problem is he is capable of sloppy mistakes all too often, and his decision making at times is questionable. I wonder if the dip in form (so far) this season is because his head is in Madrid, I hope not, and that he can sort it out and get back to his best

Not sure that’s entirely accurate, when he’s on his game he’s generally pretty consistent and often for long periods. He just seems to have these odd spells where he looks like a completely different (****) player.

The last time it happened was during Klopps last season when he lost his place to Quansah. Maybe he just needs some time out of the side when it happens.

He is capable of consistent periods of good performances, but even within them there is still the brain fart moments and a few times were you think maybe he was lucky to get away with something, as well as the 'odd spells' where he looks a different player that you mention. Maybe inconsistent is the wrong word, and if he were a forward you would perhaps call him patchy, perhaps that is more appropriate

How many **** ups does this moron need to make until he gets benched? Slot basically castrated Quansah after 1 half of football where he made a couple of errors. But Konate has been absolutely horrendous all season and just keeps getting gifted games?

Gomez needs to play now IMO.

He's also without a doubt the worst CB at heading the ball ive ever seen. He genuinely has no idea where its going when he heads it whether it be at goal or clearing it.

He’s either a 9 or a 3, it was mainly 9s but now it’s mostly 3s. Guehi is a 7/10 every week and we needed that. We better have a CB lined up for Jan 1

What the **** were the club thinking selling Quansah before bringing in a decent replacement. We've a supposed riches up front and creatively but they're being wasted having to keep one eye on what's happening behind them
