I'm all for being optimistic (no really ) but let's not deluded ourselves. The title has gone.
Nah, I mean I am not naive, it is very unlikely. But not impossible. Aftter 90 mins on Wednesday I thought we were facing City in the CL final - and look what happened.

West Ham need points to guarantee Europa League again. The run they went on in the Europa suggests they can cause City problems. Is it likely. No. Is it possible? Yes.

Stranger things have happened. It is not over until it is over.

GD isn't a huge issue either. They may be 4 better but the necessary loss for them and win for us drops that to no worse than -2. Unlikely but far from impossible.

Keep in mind that this Citeh team have dropped 9 points to Palace and and Southampton this season, both lower in the table than West Ham and Wolves.

They shouldn’t slip from here and odds are that they won’t, but that’s not to say that they can’t.

So how do we approach the Villa game, given we are 3 points behind and need to over turn a -4 goal difference. You could put a full strength side out and try and score a few playing at a high tempo, but risk tiring players for the Cup final or rotate a bit give players a rest and hope the side we put out can do enough to get a win and not worry about the GD.

Personally I'd go with the latter, give some key players a break and tell the squad players to go out and impress to show why they should be playing in Cup finals.

The league is almost certainly gone, I think we need to focus our energy on making sure we bring the cups home.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Difference between giving up as opposed to being realistic and prioritising what is in your control.

The treble would be an incredible season.

It seems a lot more towel-throwing-in than settling for 3-0 v Palace though.

Anything less than a European Cup / League Cup double would be a disappointing conclusion to the season.

why give up so easily ? if it was two games to go i could understand..... but while there is a chance you go all out.

Don't think anyone's giving up easily, more like being smart with rotation of your top players who look exhausted, in order to be fit and fresh for two huge cup finals that are in your control

Just keep winning and see what happens. That's how the team will approach it, that's how we should approach it.

West Ham will beat City. Bowen will be auditioning to replace Salah.

Always said West Ham would do it (ignore any memories you may have of me saying Newcastle would beat City, that is just your collective addled minds playing tricks)

Jaco P guarantee that West Ham score three

All it will take is that one moment of bliss to make the hurt worthwhile.

If there is hope, there is a reason to believe.

And if there is belief then that's all that is needed to fight like ****ing hell. Land your shots and see if something gives.

I still think this title race has a dramatic twist, dare I say a dramatic slip, left in it.
