They bypassed Keita by running too. Cheating ****s.

Its absolutely astonishing that we won that last night, given that every single player on the pitch aside from Salah and Allison were pub standard at best

Can't be arsed trawling through the whole thread, but this was a fantastic result, even more so if we take into account that Atletico had the weekend off for their players, while Naby for example played his fourth game in just over a week.
          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Loved that we matched them in terms of fight and heart. They are an unbelievably tough team. They are relentless and apart from being a gang of cunts, they have a lot in common with the way we press and fight it out.

In a way the red card was a little annoying as people will say we only won against 10 men

Oh and apologies if it's already been mentioned but Suarez's "performance" last night was .

Shoving VVD over off the ball and getting away with
Doing the Harry Kane dangerous "trick" trying to win a free kick (again on VVD!)
Nearly getting himself sent off for stupidly complaining about it.

All in about a 10 minute period. Nutjob. I actually think that's why he didn't start. Simeone knew he'd probably not last the 90 without a red. A bit like how Fergurson used to drop Rooney against us sometimes.

If you needed any evidence that their style comes from the manager - look at Tripier's antics last night.

You could see the subtle but indistinguishable look of shame in his face when he was doing all that daft playacting.

Then at the end of the match all the other English lads were asking what the hell that was all about and you could see he looked a bit embarrassed

It must be annoying AS **** to get the same question time and time again. He answered it perfectly at least three times I have seen. And you still get some idiot trying to create a narrative.

It was the ****ty way that interviewer asked too. Pretending not to know what could possibly have gotten Klopp ‘very angry’ to insinuate that he threw a tantrum over nothing.

He full well Klopp was reacting to Simeone swerving the handshake and running off down the tunnel. As he revealed the second Klopp asked him to clarify what he was referring to

Klopp is also hyper intelligent, he understands instantly what is happening from multiple perspectives. It takes a real idiot to try and take him on.

If it had been Fat Sam not getting his hand shaken he'd have called a press conference the next day and had his besties sit next to him while he cried over it.

Simeone was pretty magnanimous after the game

Simeone asked if Atlético were unlucky with the referee: "No, no, I can get angry on the pitch, but just as the referee makes mistakes, we do the same. If the VAR says that it wasn't a penalty, then it wasn't. Griezmann's red was correct. I am not happy since we lost, but the team is strong.

Yep, instead of blaming Simeone he instead apologises for his own behaviour. It completely diffuses the situation. It stops any bad blood before the next match and denes Simeone the chance to pin Klopps quotes on the changing room wall etc.

He is very good at dealing with the stuff.
