Plenty of times we do not get three points after playing well and the narrative with the tv experts etc is that we were not good enough because we were not clinical enough.
If that applies to us when we fail to outscore a team even though we played well, then it applies to other teams that fail to outscore us.

Palace were playing well for sure, but yeah, no guarantees there. We looked dangerous also.Modifying post.

People out there acting like the pen won us the game
We were 2-1 up!
It was soft sure, but the keeper slid in out of control and clattered into Jota. Whether Jota made a move towards the keeper or not, he was still getting hit regardless and Jota's touch was probably reachable had he not been hit. Much like Lucas Neil vs Grosso at WC 2006, Neil slid in, missed the ball and gave the player the chance to make a meal of it.
Im surprised the ref didn't pay it without VAR to be honest. In realtime it looked a stonewall pen."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

Garth Crooks has VVD in his team of the week. If it had been for his performance against Arsenal then maybe, but he was poor against Palace - and slower than a snail. Crooks can't see past the goal though.
And MoTD2 discussed the penalty decision and the offside call not made on Liverpool's second goal, without mentioning the offside call not made on Palace's goal. Either analyse the game with intelligence people or shut the f*** up.

It's a weird one with VVD, he is number one across the with defensive stats in the league but he clearly isn't playing his best, I suppose that is the standards he has set. He is very casual at times. I thought we were brilliant for most of the first half, movement and speed of passing was a joy to watch, then we got casual and lazy. I think with a high line is can be dangerous vs pacey sides as we have seen this season. That ball over the top or in the channels is always on and we are lucky we have a world class goal keeper. As for the peno, yeah not a hope was it a pen but take it and move on was a great 3 points against what can be an awkward side in a very rowdy stadium.
Robbo really does look back to his best and the difference when Fabinho plays well is so apparent in that midfield. Jones again was neat and tidy, maybe needs to add a little more production to his game but the ability is there. Not to pick on Henderson again but imo he just ran around like a headless chicken once again, he's just way off his best at the moment unfortunately.

I thought it is one of those that should be in the rules but isn't.Originally posted by Norbs View PostWas the Palace goal offside? I hadn't seen anything about that until now
He pass directly to the scorer wasn't because he ran from behind the play but when it was played out right originally the scorer was well in front of our defence and gained a big advantage by being so.
Its all the 'phase' nonsense. That should be considered one phase of play. If a Liverpool player headed the a cross clear and then there was regrouping that could legit be a different phase of play but not what happened there otherwise every time a new player touches the ball it is a new phase of play!Football without Origi is nothing
