Gomez had two career threatening injuries and is only 24. You’re taking the piss are you, you’ve got to. Each and every game you need to have one player to pick on.

Yet we’re still plodding along in 4 competitions despite so many woeful players in our squad.

Loaded question, we need pace to play a high line, Gomez has that but he's poor at most other things. Nat doesn't have the pace to play a high line and neither are good enough on the ball. Sell both imo, potentially 40 or 50m there

There was a great segment on ITV in the build up featuring Klopp Shankly & Paisley would love to see it again if someone is clever enough to put it on here

Don’t know about the injury, but he played really well.

Apart from Gomez not being that good, he has had massive injury problems for one so young and has rarely been available which is absolutely useless to us. He will not be happy sitting on the bench and he is not good enough to be a starter ahead of the current lads. At least Philips is an option most weeks.

But Gomez was part of blah blah who gives a **** when he cannot stay fit. But let's hang on to all these crocks, solid plan. Sell

When gomez is out he takes a few games to get up to speed, but then gets injured again.
Nat is game ready all the time.
If we can get 25m+ for gomez from villa or newcastle the its taxi time.

On another positive note, we managed to rest almost our entire first team, while our opponents on the weekend played theirs (and still lost). Win plus the rest in a hectic schedule is a real plus.

Wow there’s still a few handy draws left… I actually have a sneaky feeling that this is the season that city’s luck in cup draws balances itself out- I reckon they’ll get chelsea, and a tricky CL draw… and hopefully we’ll get boreham wood, and a handy CL draw… it’d add to the pressure on them, tremendously…

With the title race after getting pretty close recently, I feel like tough cup draws could tip the scale towards either team (hopefully us)
