So to change tack here, I only listened to bits n pieces on the app but it sounded like Curtis was fired up to impress after being left out of the CC final squad. Thoughts on his performance & how bad was the injury?

Curtis looked good 1st half; was out to impress & was everywhere.

TBF against Norwich who were so open 1st half it wasn't hard, but compare him to Ox performance & he was the stand out.

Game changed at half time when he came off, we were much slower on the ball

When gomez is out he takes a few games to get up to speed, but then gets injured again.
Nat is game ready all the time.
If we can get 25m+ for gomez from villa or newcastle the its taxi time.

I do genuinely think Gomez & Nat will be gone in the summer. Both will want regular football and won't get it here. Nat probably should have left when his stock was a bit higher.

On another positive note, we managed to rest almost our entire first team, while our opponents on the weekend played theirs (and still lost). Win plus the rest in a hectic schedule is a real plus.

Hammers had a really tough game last night, was surprising that they didn't rotate a bit more.

Felt sorry for Ox. You could see he was frustrated with himself a lot. He's so close to being good . He does a lot of good stuff with not much end product. It's always a slightly overhit pass, or a shot that hits the post.

I think he'll leave in the Summer, but until then he's a very good squad player to have.

Yeah he is a good player he needs more games as is the same with all players to get rhythm. Given his age and the strength of our squad he will have a big decision to make, similar to Lallana. Stay and accept most likely limited game time BUT the potential to win trophies, or leave and drop to a level where trophies may be harder to find.
