Yeah the CL one was massive that’s the one I remember the 4-1 feels like a different team!

Was the game where Manes shot was 8mm short of a goal a draw???

Other than that I can only think of defeats. They must be nervey as well though, and we can get at them. Just need to take our chances.

De Bruyne seems to be amazing again which is annoying.

2-1 to the good guys but it’ll be squeaky bum for the last 1/2 hour.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

He is suspended for the CL quarter finals, think he's OK for the league games

Am bricking it - don't think there will be lots of goals in this, as we aren't quite on it while City will be a little more cautious than usual (I bet they still fear us on the break)

Think it will be 1-0 but a coin toss to whom

I think City are going to try and dominate possession and force errors. Our midfield will need to be on it and use every bit of experience to stop City setting a pattern early on in the game. I would love Diaz to play some part, he is still an unknown quantity and that could be decisive.

I think it might be time to rock out with the Judas Priest Firepower album in the build up!

Nope! that was the 2-1 loss that ended up costing us the league (I know we had some other draws, including ****ing Everton at Anfield in March)

Diaz from the bench last 30 to cause mayhem

No. He has to play. He's totally lost his groove at the minute but we've seen before he can fire into life in an instant. You don't not play your leading scorer in a game you're desperate to win.

I think the team pretty much picks itself - personally I'd opt for Firmino rather than Jota. I think Bobby buzzing around Rodri could be key for us.

Hoping it's the perfect game to shake Mo out of his mini-slump ray:

                    Spot on.

The extra work Bobby does in pressing and tracking back will be invaluable against Citeh.

Jota on the bench for the final 30 if required.

Yeah I'm leaning towards Bobby too (with Mo and Sadio). Just have a nagging worry that the front three that was going very slightly stale before we added the other two might be a bit predictable for them. The unknown quantity element of Diaz is very tempting, and Jota's clutch goalscoring record speaks for itself.

Remember when we went there and played 4 up front? Lol.

I think Diaz starts for us. Hes the in form player. Jota too, hes not really missed much of of step since that little injury.

Then its just who else. Probably Mane on current form? Salah not been totally right since AFCON tbh.

Tough though, were very strong up front now. Its 3 from 5.

Bobby will be picked for his ability to thicken the midfield and his excellet leading of the press. Having said that, I think the problem for us will be the wide areas...our normal game will give them a lot of space there and I worry about that.

Diaz and Jota are in crazy xG/xA form right now. If we really follow stats (and our eyes) those two are key. Salah is at the bottom of those stats in recent terms.

But Klopp likes his pressers too, specially against City, so I wouldn't be surprised if Firmino is brought in to start, though I wouldn't agree with it.

I think Matip and Hendo in for Naby and Konate. I think this above all else will be a game where people need to know our system and triggers - any gap/mistake and our high line will be exposed. City don’t have real pace up top (not like prime Sterling and Sane) but they can carve you open.

Up top I suspect Salah, Mane and 1 more…..Diaz played the full game do prob not him. Jota scores but his hold up and build up is below the others - we need to keep the ball above all else

                              Can we win - yes
Will we win - I’m not sure

I’d probably take a draw but if we are fully at it I think we are better. I only think KDB and maybe Fodenl gets into our starting 11……. I know that’s mad when you think about it. We owe them for Anfield last season - I’d love us to play at full throttle and blitz them but they could equally squeeze us to death

                              So hard to call

I'd absolutely start with Diaz and Jota. Both are bang in form.

I'd still start Salah on the right.
