As the ball is out of play already it wouldn't be difficult for the VAR official to tell the ref if he got it wrong wasting almost no time. If they chose to allow VAR input on it.

They'd have to review it first. Over the course of a game it would delay things if they reviewed every corner, goalkick, throw on etc.
