    Yeah we're ****ed

We need a massive overhaul in the summer, midfield has to be priority but there are worrying signs elsewhere in the side, players who have been key to our success who should have a few years left in them are looking far from where they were, Salah, Fabinho, VVD... Players like Jota, Gomez etc don't look same since injuries.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We need another CB, a full back (ideally right), 3 or 4 midfielders. You are looking at 300m worth of players there and most likely no CL…….. FSG will give Jurgen a set of jerseys to use as collateral

        We’re ****ed

I feel like we are saying the same things after most games this season. Same players under performing, same players making mistakes. We can shuffle that midfield around all we want Hendo, Fab, Keita, Baj, Milner, Thiago etc and the result is the same no legs, physically dominated and out passed.

Oh and if the Geordies manage to get top 4 then it’s game over - they will splurge

The club is in a much better place after we fell off in the 1990s. We can rebuild if the right leadership decisions are made.

It’s definitely possible. We need to get back to being the fourth best side in the PL, which is an ambitious target in itself. That’s the job for this summer and next season. From there, with some special sauce and good transfers, we can try and be back mounting a title challenge the season after next. That’s the absolute best realistic scenario for us from where we are.

The concern is that it seems at least as possible to me that we don’t keep up with Arsenal, Man City, Man Utd, spurs, Chelsea and Newcastle and next season isn’t a big turnaround. Without CL revenue it will get even harder. What has felt to us like a crazy bad run of form could become very familiar. Very concerning.

First 15mins we played with some intent, tempo and purpose, that's how we used to play, this season we have lost all of that. Probably don't have the legs to sustain it is the problem but that needed to be addressed

And its either the fault of FSG or Klopp.

I disagree. The EPL is becomimg like the NFL or NBA of Europe. Top 4 will no longer be guaranteed. The so called big six will expand.

it does seem to be going that way.

Sorry for not explaining. I think we are more in a year to year mode with competitiveness. Clubs are flush with cash now. Those teams you listed seems obvious but I'm confident predicting top 4 or even top 6 is now way harder.

I see. But we aren’t really flushed with cash, relatively speaking, and a couple of years without CL revenue will take its toll on our competitiveness more than City, Utd, Chelsea and Newcastle specifically.
