Right. Nailed on to win silverware then.
If people can say the season is over after one game, then I can say we are nailed on for silverware after one.
Gomez in = major trophy.
No need to stress from here in. Just turn on the tv at the end of the season and watch Henderson's shuffle before he lifts the PL or CL over his head.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

A draw there was always good enough but if we don’t win given their run if form we could be in crisis mode! Injuries and now suspensions will mean we’ll go there with a patched up team
We need the mentality monsters back!

No Nunez for OT next Monday but maybe Bobby back, worst case scenario Elliott slots in higher up and Naby comes in. Hendo Fab and Naby likely against the scum as we'll need players who can handle it getting a bit spiky. Milner might be an option again but can he start every week and not start to feel it??
If Matip's still out, it has to be Gomez so let's hope his knock clears up in time to start. Phillips isn't quite the level we need, although I'm sure against United he'd cope admirably. We are left with proper scraps on the bench... just Carvahlo who's a threat.
With Nunez out for 3 games and then likely a sub for a couple more, it could be October before he plays again... ffs what a mad thing to do. He could have gotten a hatful against United too...

It does feel like no other Premier League team is suffering the sheer number of injuries like we do. Didn't the exact same thing happen right at the start of Klopp's tenure when his changed training and drill methods resulted in an unusually high number in injuries across the squad then too?
During Covid, we saw a lot of injuries but that was more to do with not being able to train as hard or as intensely as normal... and more clubs suffered with it then.
We are either the most unlucky or jinxed club in the league or we are starting to push players too hard in training and we're getting stress injuries as a result. Third game in and down to the barebones of a squad already... ffs.

Most of the squad never have an issue though so more down to those players on the books.Originally posted by Tribute View Post
