Yes we need a rebuild, a rethink and a reset, but don't see us as being back at square one.
Square one is the team looking to find a way to the top table. We are a team that was there but have now slipped down to raiding the bins oputside some **** McD's at night.
However we have a manager, players (the ones that stay long term), plenty of back team people and so on who know what it takes to build from square one and get to the top so they know what sort of fight is ahead of them, then know how hard they are going to have to graft, they know the setbacks and knocks they are going to have to overcome.
Plus, and this is just a personal view that I subscribe to in life, it is easier in a lot of ways to be the chaser, to be the one aiming for something, than the one at the top trying to stay still in that number one slot. The chaser can slip, the chaser can stumble but the target is still ahead of you to go after. The chaser fights that bit hard, has to really.
Am going to stay on the optimistic side of the fence with regards to Klopp being the man for that rebuild/reset.
His bad season at Dortmund, the first half of that season was worse than the first half of this season and he managed to finish that season in a strong manner (Yes yes he then left but he also did not have years left on his contract as he does with us, and he strikes me as a do the job I am contracted to do kind of man). We had that horror run of games a few seasons back during which we looked utterly clueless as a team, and we came back strong under him.
This is another horror run (by the standards Klopp and the tream have set for themselves) and am to give the man the benefit of the doubt that he is going to rally again, given he has form for doing so, and getting us back into the chasing pack next season with maybe the off chance of something unlikely in th CL.
Just remembered he had downs that he came back from with Mainz also.

Cheered me up no end.
