Those two losses to Leeds and then Forest when they were both playing like absolute ****e look worse and worse as the season goes on. ****ing Meslier turned into the greatest keeper ever for one night only, then went straight back to chucking them in his own net

Let's hope to **** our proper first eleven turn up on Sunday at 4:30pm. I couldn't stand United hammering us, or worse, sitting deep and killing us off with several fast-paced counter-attacks. Rashford against Trent is going to be painful viewing...

No idea what our game plan will be, but Utd are playing much better since Ronaldo got the boot and Maguire got injured... sadly.

In general, this season is just bonkers, not just for Liverpool. We'll be a force again next season, add three or four top players in and we'll be different proposition. The advantages of this season will be new midfielders, new defenders, Gakpo, Bajcetic, Elliott and a very difficult experience will make everyone stronger. Imperative to get CL footy though to aid with the rebuild.

Amazing as the result was yesterday... I'm still feeling that the Real Madrid second leg is a bit of a free hit, not expecting yesterday to make us able to overturn such a horrific first leg hammering...

We'd need to get two early goals to give them a scare but I can't see them not scoring and making it impossible...

I don’t think so- if it was 1-0 at half time, I think we’d have a good chance. I think it’s more important to make sure we keep a clean sheet, than to go all out for early goals. It’s of course a long shot, but stranger things have happened, in recent years.

Definitely feels like we have our counter attack back now. Gakpo and Nunez have helped massively and Mo looks like he’s enjoying the new combinations in this little run we are on.

Just been looking at our results this season, our 8 defeats have come to Man Utd, Arsenal, Forest, Leeds, Brentford, Brighton, Wolves and Bournemouth, only 2 of those sides are above us in the table (Arsenal and Man Utd), 2 are midtable (Brighton and Brentford) but really are teams we should be beating, 4 are in relegation battles. To me it really suggests that there is an attitude/mentality problem in the squad, it seems that they can get up for the big games, but can't be arsed against the poorer sides, who admittedly might play a low block, but it's not really as though we have been creating **** loads of chances against them and just haven't scored, the game at the weekend I can barely remember any efforts that troubled the GK.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Not disagreeing with the wider point about mentality.

But a good save required from Robbo’s shot in the 1st half.
Virgil’s header beat the keeper but cleared off the line.
Then the sitter missed by Virgil, though not on target, granted.
                          Good save from Jota’s drive.
Then the keeper beaten from Jota’s header but handled by a defender for the pen.

We were bad but it wasn’t a patch on Forest earlier in the season when we mustered nothing.

Think it may be a combination of both?

If you look at our home form (we are 3rd in terms of points) vs our away form (we are 12th last time I checked) it's fairly clear where the problems lie. Whether that's mentality/confidence away from home, or teams playing differently when at home..not sure. But our away form is proper ****e

Is it something to do with Overseas viewing times or just that us getting beat starts the weekend off great for the rest of the football world!
