It's not helping Gomez that he's got to play two positions at once.

There was a point before the third goal where Trent tried a long, pass to Mo against all the percentages, then when it was intercepted he raced forward to get it back leaving a massive gap behind him that Napoli played it straight into. When it passed him he didn't even bother to run back, he just looked bemused. Whatever they're doing out there at the moment they're doing it all wrong.

there's a raggedness and vulnerability under any sort of fast in your face attack that would seem to go beyond our injuries. That's the way I suppose. We haven't hit a low patch like this in a while. We're not just "not clicking" - we look a bit past it. Burnt out would be the big worry. But I don't think any of us know enough to say that having Konate/Matip and Thiago back wouldn't make a difference. I agree it doesn't look like it tonight but this feels like a culmination or an inevitability.

The problem that we have with Gomez is that now Konate is out he's the next option. Matip can't go 3 games without an injury so he's not viable for the season, Philips is too slow for this kind of game. There's no-one to put in there at the moment. All the rest of the options are awful too.

Trent a Gomez absolutely awful that half. Neither are good enough defensively at the moment. You could forgive Trent if he was actually delivering offensively but he's failing there too. Maybe move Gomez to RB as he can at least track, bring on Matip for Trent and Arthur for Milner.

Trent has been working hard in midfield and is our only creative force out there. Gomez has one ****ing job and he's **** at that too. Absolute useless tool. Laid the chance on a plate for Maupay/Davies too. He's learnt nothing.

It’s been a great run but complacency/loyalty by the manager to his lads are killing us. I love Klopp but he lacks the ruthless streak to be the very best - Ox, Naby, Milner, Hendo all should’ve been binned off.

This bull**** about not being able to get better players galls me - we are slow and being out worked in midfield. We used to run teams off the pitch and now it’s being done to us. It’s been a great run the wheels are off now

Trend is a RB, that should be his priority. They know it and are targeting his position.
