Funny thing about Jesus and the hype about his goal return is he has 5 goals and 3 assists this season which is the exact same as what Bobby has gotten.

Jesus is causing chaos in general with his play though.

But to offer an answer to your question as to who from their starting XI might get into our starting XI at present.

I think Jesus, Martinelli, and Odegaard might get into our starting XI at present. That is not saying I think they are all better players than the players they would replace, just that they are in better form and currently more effective.


A lesser case could be made for one of Gabriel or Saliba though is more me saying that those two are playing about as well as our CB pairing than them being better or even in better form.

Would be the combined XI I would pick on current form (along with resting TAA for Gomez for a couple games) and cheating a bit to put Diaz over on the right. Also giving Salah a break for a game with that line up.

Id have dropped Jota for Firmino. He is our in form striker, and combines better. Against Rangers our strikers lacked some understanding at times.
