The whole "ohhh go over to the monitor" and "we think it was the wrong decision..... But it wasnt a clear and obvious error" is ****in stupid. Var should help the correct decision be made. End of.

The ref still has the final say in Rugby. But, crucially, the conversation between ref and TMO is available and broadcast live. If, say, the TMO disagrees with the ref he will highlight the element he has seen and then nudge the ref. I’d say the ‘that’s a fair enough’ decision hit rate is about 90%. That’s with some pretty stringent criteria and way more variables at play.

Overall tho. Yup follow that process. 100% it’s the refs that don’t want that instant scrutiny.
