I thought Nunez had a really good game.

He was ok. I really dont think he has the touch to be a real success. For 80m you expect him to dominate, but I just dont see him in the team if everyone else is at their best. He looks to me like a plan B player.

Plan A should be a Firmino type player, who can link play and get the wide attackers involved.

Mind you its hard to tell with Salah being so ****e, and now Diaz out. Jota is not very good played wide. So many strikers and no options. Maybe play Nunez on the left against Rnagers. Firmino should play as striker, as he is looking great at the moment

He's not benefiting from only having one midfielder playing well (Thiago) and Salah being invisible. He's a finisher and his off the ball movement to get into shooting positions is very good. He's still raw and I think he'll do well. It's seems like in January we need an alternative to Salah, Trent and midfielder all of high quality.

I'd drop Salah, put Diaz on the right and Jota on the left

Obviously still early in the season, but we’re as close to the relegation zone as we are the top six despite a relatively easy fixture list. We’re about to go below Everton. What a disastrous start.

We got beaten by a better team. They played better football and created more chances over the 90 mins. There was no doubt about their penalty at all, and neither was there about the handball, which should have been given.

But even your defence of the performance says it all tbh. It wasn’t that bad because we could have got a barely deserved draw at arsenal. If that doesn’t scream mid table team what does?

We’ve struggled this season against a series of fairly average sides and this was our first game against a top four team. A chance for us to show our ‘true level’, and unfortunately we probably did.
