I suspect Ake will be left back for them. Tomyashu did v well cutting out our long diagonals to Mo - they might go similar

Haaland will be gunning for us after drawing a blank in the Community Shield. I'm glad we've got Konate back for this one.
Robbo being back is also massive. I thought he was brilliant when he came on yesterday.
Haaland vs Konate is going to be like Godzilla vs King Kong any time they come together during the game.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I think Gomez (or a similar style of full back) might actually give them more balance and play a part in them being able to control games better on that side.
Cancelo and Walker = one pace merchant full back and one full back who can do the physical stuff but excels at the technical stuff espeically when he moves into the centre of the pitch and allows their midfield to then lose one to go overload the attack. He also causes a midfield overload when they are pressing to win the ball back.
Gomez to me looks like he is that type of full back so having one of those on each side makes them far more balanced imo (if Gomez turns out to be any good of course) and better equipped to handle different types of attackers.
Think Nev/Birdy made a good point though when he said he thinks Ake might start at full back. Had forgotten about Ake and he is pretty good in the role too.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Lets be honest, if we play as badly as we did agianst say Napoli and City have one of their crushing opening 20 minute spells, the scoreline could easily get ugly.
It is a game that could go anyway.
Very easily be a dull dour draw.
We could have a game raising 90 minutes and City could do that thing they do every now and then in wilting in front of a loud crowd.
Or City could just kill us and then spend the remaining 60 or 70 minutes kicking the corpse some more.
And yes it is kind of obvious it will be a win, loss or draw, but most seasons we go into a game at Anfield against them expecting more than hoping that we will go toe to toe with them.
Until we get in some reinforcements in January (says he hopefully), we are the waining Boxer (Pick your poison as to your own Stakhanov or John Henry (no not our one) character of choice) and each game we go into with a good team or a well drilled team will be one in which we hope we are the Boxer that can still help build the windmill and not the one being shoved into the back of a trailer at the behest of NapoleonI don't hate people. I'm praying midweek was a legit turning point. My fear is Rangers are total muck, and it was a papering over the cracks job.
At least it should ensure Salah is closer to goal again, Bobby and Nunez (whoever is picked) both have growing confidence and Ibou is looking ready to take on Haaland. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

This picks itself imo. Nunez sub. Tad harsh on him after 2 in 2 but he's not starting ahead of Bobby in his current form, and the idea of starting him from the left is bewildering imo.Originally posted by Rich View PostI'd revert back to 4-3-3.
Gomez - Konate - VVD - Robertson
Henderson - Fab - Thiago
Salah - Firmino - JotaThanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
