Trent too. The one that went over his head he misjudged due to the strong wind. Same as that one that VVD left thinking it was going well out of play then it held up in the wind and gave them a volley at the back post (which he scuffed).

Hendo was everywhere first half, covering well in defence and keeping it moving in attack. Thiago was the one pulling the strings, and I'm not saying Hendo was anywhere near MOM but he did well.

Subs killed us, but having secured the win I'm sure Klopp would see it as valuable game time in the legs for Curtis, and plenty of rest for the others. Expect Salah to come off early on Saturday if we manage to get a decent lead.

He went down around that time after a tight turn and was holding his foot - I thought he'd injured himself. He played on but wasn't interested in the ball when it came to him about a minute later, and then wasn't as effective afterwards. I was surprised he wasn't taken off - could have moved Curtis back there if there were no midfielders left on the bench.

        Someone watched the game.

Milner’s block was as important as Alisson’s save, it was brilliant defending. I think I wrote him off too soon.

Thought we looked really good (extended highlights ). Should have scored more. Another clean sheet. Brilliant result considering the tough game against City and the short turnaround.

First half very good, should have been home and hosed.

Second half, fell away, lost shape and hung on a bit. Given we played and beat the best team in the World only 3 days previous, Im happy with that.

Made a mistake doing doing 3 subs in the 57th and taking of Nunez and Thiago who alongside VVD were our best players to that point. We looked lost after that. The Milner sub was the other one the worked, he was brilliant when he came on.

Highlights made it look like we hammered them, which doesn't tell the full story as we hung on in the 2nd half. But the popular narrative that WHU were extremely hard done by is nonsense.

Nunez could have had a hat-trick, Salah could have had a few on another day (even if few were clear cut), Hendo was close, Bobby was close, Jones missed a sitter and Zouma nearly scored an OG and hit the bar.

They were gifted a pen when going nowhere and had that Milner blocked chance. With a better striker on from the start, they maybe could have threatened more, but that boy from Italy was useless and it wasn't until Antonio came on that they posed more of a threat.

Klopp mentioned it was because if minor injuries identified at half time though. I agree with the results (we didnt play as well) but cannot argue if that was the reasoning. We have games every 3 days and are down to the bones as it is.

Everyone would be going bananas if we ended the night with Nunez and Thiago injured.

                      The World Cup is ridiculous.

I think he said nunez was treated at half time, then he saw him busting his nut in the second half and said hmmm why risk it. I think it’s the restriction that we need to make the 5 subs in a max of 3 slots, that made him bring off Thiago and carvalho at the same time. It’s unusual for klopp to be making changes that early, normally waits til about 65th minute, as opposed to 55th…

Not taking our chances (killing off a game) is a problem, but the fact that we are creating chances and keeping clean sheet(s) is promising.

We'll continue to see predetermined subs happening around the hour mark all season, regardless of the game state.

Nessacery to manage the schedule, we can't afford any more injuries.

Yes, it was probably the right call taking Nunez and Thiago off if they were feeling something.

However, I feel that this season, Klopp seems to making his substitutions earlier, I think there are a few instances of 56 minute subs already. Everton spring to mind.
