Loooks like a mid-level Premier League player - nothing to get too excited about.

That’s my take as well so far but he can show we know nothing and go on and make it or we sell for a tidy fee…. Win win

He only just turned 19 a few weeks ago

I dont think this lad will want to be held back being second choice for a CL team but drop to a level where he's playing. Only 18 months on his deal, he'll go in the summer

This may well be true. I have never seen it in him to he honest. That said, he should be given every opportunity. He is doing really well at Borough. Hopefully next year he can get a loan at a PL club.

If he continues to improve, I wouldnt want to write him off until he reaches 22/23, as I think thats the age where players really blossom, and probably better value if you do sell. That the same age that Salah moved to Roma, and Curtis Jones is now. If he is only 19, then he should be given that time to develop, without worrying he will be sold if he doesnt make a huge impeession.

Doesn't change what he looks like though.

He’s having a promising season, too early to say either way as to what that means. I suspect he will need to keep improving elsewhere to fulfill his potential. He’d need to absolutely tear it up to get consistent games for us next season.

For context at the same age Mo Salah was playing for Al Mokawloon and was. Year away from international debut so at that age it’s hard to say which player with potential will blossom and who will fade away, and it ultimately is down to the player.

Since his loan move Doak hasn’t put a foot wrong.

Unless he signs a new contract

This came up on my twitter feed, not familiar with the account but interesting (if true

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Good signs if he can carry that on all season. No doubting he can run with the ball, but developing the awareness and end product is key. Boro fans seem to love him

Would be even better if he can do anywhere close to that against Premier League level defenders.

Before his injury last year, it seemed like he was doing just that, in training.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Well he gave Gvardiol a hell of a game in the international break by all accounts.

Ok, maybe we can screw them out of 40mill in that case.
