Once got pissed drinking incredibly strong home-made palinka. My father had brought it back from Hungary - my DNA is mainly Hungarian [father*] and Irish [grandfather - mother's side]). I was born and raised in Wales. And I really can't handle my drinkOriginally posted by Buzzo View Post
*Recently found my father's refugee card. Landed in the UK Christmas Eve 1956. He was 15. Had to leave his mum and dad. Arrived with men a lot older than him. Couldn't speak English. Poor education. Left due to the Russian invasion of Hungary. He didn't see/speak to his mum until he was 40 years old (turned up at her doorstep in Hungary - first time back). Hadn't kept in contact because he was fearful of the Russians. History repeating itself with Ukraine
Another MASSIVE game

Not sure what to say other than respect for your 15 year old Dad for making a go of it
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

He was quietly brilliant yesterday, aside from the finish for his goal which was ice cold his energy levels are of the charts.
He put in 2 or 3 lung busting runs from about 85-95 mins to retain and win possession which showed unreal levels of fitness. Fatigue is never discussed when we watch matches, but it is the reason the big teams win games late on. Being 5-10% fitter than the opposition forces late chances and goals.
Dom is a ****ing monster in this respect.Modifying post.

I feel like he's not as dynamic as he was in those first few weeks. Where he looked like a De Bruyne clone. Almost Like he's been told to hold back from getting forward too much to be more solid defensively.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostHe was quietly brilliant yesterday, aside from the finish for his goal which was ice cold his energy levels are of the charts.

Would be interesting seeing him in Mo's spot for a game with freedom to bomb forward at will."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

I was thinking we were looking a bit tighter at the back. It might be this.Originally posted by Harv View PostI feel like he's not as dynamic as he was in those first few weeks. I know what you mean alright but for me it feels like that he is the type of player that even when he isn't in top form, then his workrate still makes him integral to the team. As opposed to the like of Oxlade who, when on form was brilliant but when off it was not.Originally posted by Harv View PostI feel like he's not as dynamic as he was in those first few weeks. Yes i was thinking this too.Originally posted by Harv View PostWould be interesting seeing him in Mo's spot for a game with freedom to bomb forward at will.
I'm not in the bat**** crazy "Mo is ****" brigade that seems to raise its head here after every game, but it will be very interesting to see what Jurgen does when the Afcon is on this year. Could be Dom out there with Endo, Macca Gravy midfield (or jones) or will he ise it as an opportunity to tweak the formation slightly.
****in annoying that we play both Chelsea and Arsenal when the stupid duckin tournament is on though.
