      It’s more reliable than playing Timmy imo.

        TBH I prefer Gomez at RB this season to TAA playing the inverted role.


        When Gomez played there for a run of games a while back he tended to only come in now and then and spent time giving us actual width and cover on the right flank.


        If Robertson was fit, I would be happy with Gomez at RB and then letting Robertson get on with being an attacking LB without having to shove in when the back line has to cover for TAA.

                      Can’t be too critical after a comfortable three nill win, but I did not think he was outstanding. His main strength is avoiding getting yellow card for bookable fouls. Nothing against his style of play on the ball, but he’s still a yard off the pace and I can’t decide if that’s a him thing or an adapting to a new league thing.

                            I think this is the problem though, I don't really fancy the idea of MacAllister playing there against City either to be honest, we really need a proper DM.

                                Thought he was tidy in possession, but when it came to actually tackling - you know the stuff that should be bread and butter for defensive mids - he looked pretty average again. Gets turned super easy and has a real knack for just clattering into people instead of tackling them with his legs...im starting to understand why he wears a mouthguard now
