Dan Burn is not an elite defender. Mo and Szobo should target him as much as Newcastle will target Trent.

Klopp very rarely rotates in the first block of games (up to international break) so baring an injury it’s v unlikely he sees much time. I suspect he’ll be a Europa and domestic cup players - if you believe what was said then he was a Klopp pick based on how he performed vs us. He seems an odd man out right now and like a lot of what we are doing bought based on grooves and vibes. I really don’t see him beyond this season tbh

Re the game today, they aren’t that strong in paper but work v well as a team. Tough game for us but if we defend properly then we have a chance

They are very well organised and run and tackle like ****. It's a tough fixture, I think we have more quality than them but this formation worries me, I was expecting Gomez to get the shout over Matip as they are pacey on the flanks. I think Matip is a far superior defender but it does definitely worry me if he gets isolated in wide areas. Endo is a bit of an unknown quantity, just run like **** and tackle every ****er, hopefully we can benefit from that type of player in the side.
