I mentioned it in another thread, but Stephen Warnock was commentating on my stream.Originally posted by Assassin View PostYep, and it’s not just in here. Never ending story…..Lucas, Naby, Darwin,………Originally posted by Scratch View PostHaters gonna hate, nothing you can do about it really. Nunez could have a stellar game, but misplace one pass/shot and for the rest of the game/post game that's all you'd hear mentioned, totally ignoring the good work done to focus on one failure as if it justifies the constant, never-ending criticism.

Didn't see any of the game. I was worried they would run through us, but pleasantly surprised at the clean sheet. Really good 3 points. We're starting to build momentum which is great. Much easier kicking on from a strong start rather than playing catchup. Time to forget who we didn't sign and see what this season brings. Very enjoyable Sunday so far, a family walk in The Lakes, my mobility is improving daily, 3 points in the bag, sipping a 20 year old rum and still a home cooked roast dinner to follow.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

I'm definitely team Nunez but I can see his flaws. I'm sure even his most vociferous fan would agree he has them.
Hes the archetypical rough diamond. Great pace/power but his tactical awareness and composure need coaching.

I don't think his goals last week were accidents or coincidences - he's definitely improved. I remember Owen talking about training to finish with his left, and then he hit that goal against Arsenal in the FA Cup way back when (IIRC). I think he's going to be awesome. But yeh, forward miss sitters sometimes. Mo does it often enough.Really?

Biased towards what?Originally posted by kemm1 View PostThat's a seriously biased view. He's far more composed and his all-round game has already taken a step forward.
Reality?
All I said was he is inconsistent, and probably always will be.
He has power and pace, but little close control which limits his effectiveness as he cant change direction or receive the ball with his back to goal.
It means we have options for different setups, which is a good thing. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

His high press, balance, passing and movement have all been better so far in my opinion.Originally posted by labourRed View Post

His first touch is inconsistent, from what I've seen so far this season, all other aspects of his game has taken a step forward.Originally posted by Charly View PostBiased towards what?

The bias is stating that he will "never"..... blah blah blah.... not sure how that call can be made.
